Another short, Self-Checkout: A Love Story was published in the on-line literary journal Fleas On The Dog Issue #6 and was performed at PCSF’s Best of 2020 showcase. In 2022, Scott turned it into a one-minute radio play which was produced by Mendocino Theatre Company and broadcast on Mendocino County Public Radio stations. His short play Zoomerang received a staged Zoom reading at PCSF's PlayOffs 2021 short play festival.

Scott’s short play series MAPS, about two feisty women who take the law into their own hands against an obnoxious ex, appeared regularly on-line during the Pandemic. It has been turned into a full-length play. His one-minute radio play, How Many More, about the senselessness of gun violence, appeared as a Mendocino Theatre Company production on Mendocino County Public Radio.

Scott’s humor book, Your Guide To Corporate Survival, is available on Amazon.

Scott’s songs span the genres of country, folk, pop and rock.  They include Trying To Be Different, Without Your Love I’m Nothing, Fathers Sons & Demons and How Many More? (recorded by The Scott Choate Project, available on Apple Music, YouTube and other streaming services).

Scott has studied playwriting at the Mendocino Theatre Company, South Coast Repertory Theatre in Costa Mesa and the Trey Nichols/City Garage Theatre playwriting workshop in Santa Monica.  When he is not engaged in creative pursuits, Scott volunteers as a consultant with Executive Service Corps of Southern California (ESC), helping non-profit organizations make a difference by improving life in their communities.

Scott enjoys spending time with his family, travel to his beloved North Coast of California and helping young writers reach their aspirations as future playwrights, authors and producers.  In the spring of 2023, Scott will again be co-producing PCSF's Reading Series on Zoom.
